ni no kuni 2 disappointing

Venturing in to the action genre, you’re up against Tales games, Sword Art Online games; games with deeper mechanics and better execution. It would have been okay if the important cut scenes and dialogues are voiced, but even those suffer from the lack of voice work. Level 5 have made some of my favourite games – Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy and the first Ni no Kuni. In the beginning, Ni no Kuni II feels fresh. It's still enjoyable and if i'm being really honest, i play jrpg's for fun gameplay and great stories. There are a lot of slots to equip in Ni no Kuni II so this at least keeps things interesting, but good Kingdom management can eventually outweigh the loot system. The game brings some interesting changes but, ultimately it leaves him disappointed. Corey Feldman Interview Infinite XP. Compared to say, Tales of Berseria; another A-JRPG game filled with combinations of moves that can chain in numerous ways wherein character positioning truly matters, Ni no Kuni II is as basic as it gets. It could be a weapon, piece of armour or accessory and it makes the combat quite rewarding for a while. I canceled the preorder and used the money to get Cyber Sleuth Hackers Memory and Tokyo XanaduEX+ on PS4 instead. A player that is using a trainer can complete game rapidly and efficiently. I think I'm only on like Chapter 6 or 7, so maybe it picks up later. Hold R2 to access one of 4 skills, mash square or triangle on an enemy to regenerate the used mana, try not to die and then repeat the process until the end. Often allowing for advanced research to be performing, unlocking new abilities, items or general enhancements. They have a history of more active combat and the original Ni no Kuni was actually a departure from their norm. Mass Effect 3 got great reviews yet it sucks. i am a big JRPG fan but it had so basic mechanics, especially combat and an extremely annoying melody over and over every single time (i can still not get it out of my head). I’ve sat on this review for a few days to cool off, but I feel the same way as I did – I genuinely wouldn’t recommend Ni no Kuni II on a deeply personal level. I may still pick it up anyway tho. i kind agree with the review....at first i was very impressed with the damn game (reminding me abit of 16 bit era games) ...but continuing into the game, the variety of enemies drops annoyingly and the battle system stays simple as Fk as it was at the start...combining all these with almost insulting handholding story/gameplay proggression , the game feels like a gold --potatoe ....i wonder why the developers having all that time at their disposal and the indeed very talented art teams made such a substance-less game. This is getting tiring. Fans of the original game expecting a touching narrative should find nothing of note here. Other than that it’s beautiful, fun, the drops have been in my favor cause I’m fighting stuff I have no business fighting and winning (plus I grind areas until everything is blue and I go explore instead of the main quest so far), the combat system is good and actually being hands on instead of pseudo hands on is a improvement to me. Things become much harder that way as level really means alot in it. Yes and no. A Ni No Kuni: Revenant Kingdom Reworking with a focus on improving both story and (theoretical) gameplay by (among other things) bringing back concepts from Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch while adding in Political Thriller and RTS game elements. Ni no Kuni 2 Trainer makes the game more interesting for both children as well as adult. At the same time, Ni no Kuni II isn’t over-the-top with its experience rewards. “Ultimately, it leaves him disappointed”-wow he sure is stating this as an objective fact. Having played it for around 20 hours I am feeling very burnt out. When in dungeons and towns, the characters are in their proper, fully-developed forms and, in a strange twist, the main character (whomever you choose to control at any time) has a very impressive jump. On the world map, the game quickly sets a surrounding stage up as your chibi characters warp in to their proper forms. A rare occurrence in RPG games, though there’s not much use for it. We're talking Studio Ghibli: The Game, even if Ghibli itself wasn't directly involved with … What with the action in this game focusing more on the main characters’ involvement, the former game lost a valuable asset: the monsters that could be caught, used and evolved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iUAHlmkvuE&feature=youtu.be, Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Honestly, i agree difficulty settings would have been nice but i'm not going to lose any sleep over it. So far NK2 isn't doing that. But in my heart of hearts, I say no. Press triangle to completely invalidate the rock-paper-scissors aspect for a brief time when the Guts gauge is filled (by defeating enemies). Each town has its own flavor and enough backstory to make you want to care. Disagree completely and it would appear others do as well! Will I still be able to get into this? Enemies can also drop materials to helps with crafting / fetch quests. There aren’t nearly as many fast travel points within towns as I’d like (Broafleaf can be a pain to navigate comparatively), but it’s a snappy, well-done system for the most part. Yes, there are the usual chests and gathering points found in many RPG games, but in combat, sometimes a chest with a rarity colour will pop out of a defeated foe. For example, say if a place I’m visiting tends to have slimy monster types, but I’m tweaked to be effective against brutes, I can dial down the brute boost and put them in to my slimy boost for no extra cost. The Kingdom building aspect I do like, but there's progression barriers in place to keep people like me from spending all my time building. On paper, Ni no Kuni II Revenant Kingdom is a dream wrapped in a wish, served on a fancy brioche bun. That’s about it – no New Game Plus sadly. Ni No Kuni 2 goes straight for action RPG and I love it for it. Ni no kuni (二ノ国, letteralmente Secondo Mondo/Secondo Regno) è un film d'animazione giapponese del 2019 diretto da Yoshiyuki Momose. I never played the first game so it's not a step back for me. Almost everything has been improved, but I guess it's just missing the charm the original had. The greatest crime it commits is being too simple for its potential, and perhaps trying to do too much. But all they really did was serve to get me through the boring fights that much quicker. Still, it’s a great way to encourage fighting more and more enemies beyond the experience earned. The only thing I find curiously lacking is the voice acting. Enemy variety is embarrassing, combat is repetitive and uninspired, story is almost non-existent with go from A to B, then rinse and repeat. I also completely avoided all info on the game aside from the reveal, so I wouldn't get even higher expectations. As with most RPG games, experience is earned through completing quests and fighting battles. You shouldn’t have to actively seek out a specific and finite enemy type just to get a challenge. Because it’s a fantastic idea to have a progression that doesn’t commit you to or punish you for mistakes. So this is my opinion of course. That said, Ni no Kuni II is a great game to look at in general. Combat can be challenging if you are up to fighting the challenging red and purple ones--especially the purples ones. But you could make it harder by using the tweaked and just turning down experience. It may be easy, but I'm into it, the equipment options, the food buffs, the upgradable equipment and smiths it has A LOT OF CONTENT, you just need to find it, and build it. Don't know if it'll make it that much of a difference but I know I did alot of side stuff and fought every enemy in my path and always was about the games suggested lvl so it should make a difference, Only issue I have is lack of Voice acting other than that I rather enjoying the game. Most of which are terrible until you acquire the high-rank higgledies from higgledy stones around the world. I liked the first still not sure about this one many people been criticizing it...guess I will probably get it when its on sale maybe next year..april going to be busy anyway with GOW and Yakuza 6. Developed by LEVEL-5, Ni no Kuni II features enchanting character design from the legendary artist Yoshiyuki Momose and a stirring soundtrack composed by the world-famous Joe Hisaishi. Swords, Spears, Hammers, Ranged and Shield are available, but I found no real reason to switch my team at any point. The income is paced fairly well, and people around the world are fairly easy to recruit with some interesting personal stories and a heap of personality to them. Overall, I strongly recommend this game. I had to bail on it too.... Childish dialogue, repetitive missions, week combat system, a barely open world, and a small variety of enemies. Which leads to side quest and other things required to recruit more people, before I can progress. My ONLY issue with this game is that I wish it had more voice work. There are tons to do and they never feel so forced in as far as I am concerned. Also, as a Welshman, I have to say that the voice acting for Lofty is terrible compared to Drippy. Ne è passata di acqua sotto i ponti dall'annuncio di Ni No Kuni II. Wholeheartedly agreed. The moment-to-moment exploration provides a striking world map with a lot of character and colour. The second games issue is that once you're within a certain level of an enemy and know what you're doing unless tainted most enemies are easy or really short. I have tried to persevere as the production values are fabulous, it looks and sounds fantastic and I also worry I am missing something due to its generally positive reviews. Just got to kingdom building so I still have a ways to go, however, I'm not feeling it as much asthe first game. No one is claiming I’m saying “this is an objective fact” just like this review isn’t claiming that either. The main problem with the first is scaling of difficulty. One second your op the next enemy will drop you 100hp out of 150 in literally 2 seconds. Some have more useful special attacks (using R2 and a face button, like in the general combat) but otherwise, they just level up by defeating enemies and winning skirmishes. While Drippy sounded quite authentic, Lofty sounds like someone doing a poor impression. Mainly, the game is about getting around the land and progressing your characters as you go. I like it but it should have more voice dialogue. Obviously you can't please everyone though. You will do yourself a great favor if you get this game, especially with a bit of an open mind. Having replaced the former game’s turn-based RPG combat with a sleek, easy-to-use action RPG mechanic, I was very enthusiastic about Level 5’s approach. Combat and story was a lot better. Disappointing in your opinion, not objectively disappointing. Ultimately, the Kingdom building aspect of the game will provide you with the most important functions in the game, but it’s a damn shame it doesn’t offer offline earnings. Fortunately it’s easy to snap back to your Kingdom at any point and check in, so the cap is there to encourage engagement with that mechanic. I like the game a lot, but its lack of difficulty really is the biggest issue with it. Also for everyone saying there's no challenge you could just use the most basic (weak) gear and fight with that. Game is soulless compared to the original. Porkchop... you should play #2. I think Bioshock Infinite was a disappointing game that’s worth no higher than a 7 yet that game’s metacritic is 94. (ESL guy), Don't know why they changed the battle formula from the first game. The only thing I hate in the second was the skirmishes. Ni no Kuni was much the same in that it wasn’t quite as good at Pokemon as “Pokemon”, but that had only one direct comparison point. The first game was amazing. There’s more than enough content to keep an easily pleased new-comer busy, and it’s so far removed from the first game that it’s practically a sequel in name alone. It’s a far cry from the first game, but it’s not a bad game at all. Edit: Also the first game was really easy as well. Different people like different games to different degrees I guess. In many ways, Ni no Kuni II plays better than the original game. But for as much as it plays better than the last game, it lacks when compared to its peers in the things it tries to do. Even in the form of Higgledies. Ni no kuni 2 es un juego que recuerda que no todos los juegos deben ser multi-jugador para estar bien, ni super dlc´s de pago, que cuestan mas que el juego y lo mas importante, esta entero desde el principio, nada de venderlo por etapas. Much like Pokemon. I put more than 20 hours amd still can saw the all map and still my experience not enough for lots of enemies over 40lvl. It’s gorgeous, plays well and offers a load of things to do. Inazuma Eleven for consoles? In reality, it made both myself and my PlayStation 4 sigh. Despite their various traits that can make dealing with different enemy types and elements easier, it’s simple to overcome and I rarely went back to check on new higgledies I’d grown or gathered because I just didn’t need them. It doesn't have that heart-rending story of the first, but the foundation of NNK2's narrative is quite unique if not a little too optimistic. The turn bases although fun, was too slow and grindy (this is even more grindy hahaha but when you get the hang on the real, the grind is automatic and it rocks) it's a simple game with an entertaining gameplay and variety of it. In my opinion, these side quests – though dull and fetch-quest like – are the best in terms of story that Ni no Kuni II has to offer. Cheats, Codes & Walkthrough/Guide/FAQ - PC Computer. It is, without a doubt, the most impressive aspect of the game. But the feel important, the characters draw you in and make that stupid basic quest more fun than it should. This one didn't stick well with me. I do agree. Characters occasionally get new skills as they level up, with occasionally being generous in this case, but I was doing the same thing in the first thirty minutes as I was in the final thirty and what I was doing just wasn’t that entertaining to me. Also the weird looking chibis looked cheap compared to in the first though I prefer the way the overworld was in the second. Ni no Kuni II: Il Destino di un Regno per PS4. The first one overrated as well. The game is better in almost all areas. It certinaly has keep my interest level high giving me a change of pace when the same old encounters start getting repetitive. I find it balances out levelling quite well. The standard combat is action-based, taking place in arenas that have a generous boundary line, especially in the case of dungeons where the action is easy to slip in and out of. Couple that with the abundance of palette-swapped bosses and I grew tired of Ni no Kuni II far quicker than I’d hoped. Then you'll likely be under leveled.
